Faiq Bolkiah plays as an attacking midfielder or forward. He stands 5 feet 9 inches tall, i.e., 175 cm, and is known for his technical abilities.
Until 2019, he played with Leicester City’s youth team. Then, on September 20, 2020, he signed with the Portuguese Liga club, Marítimo, where he only got a chance to make three appearances.
Since 2021, he has played for Chonburi’s Thai First Division team called Chonburi. At his new club, he has showcased his true talent. He has played in 14 top-flight games with the Thai outfit.
Talking about international, he was eligible to represent both Brunei and United States. The American youth teams scouted him, but he opted to play for Brunei. Bolkiah did so at the U19 and U23 levels and the 2015 Southeast Asian Games.
He made his debut in the 2-1 triumph, starting the game and playing all 90 minutes.
The midfielder contributed to Timor Leste’s 1-2 loss in one of his country’s Asian Games matches. On October 15, 2016, he was scheduled to play against Timor-Leste in a 2016 AFF Championship qualification game, making his senior international debut.
Additionally, he has made six national team appearances for Brunei, where he scored his only goal to date against Laos in 2016. He has previously served as the captain of his national side
