For those older than 55, a gated, quiet Ashburn community is taking shape
On a 61-acre property in Ashburn, Va., a quiet, pastoral community for the 55-plus set is taking shape. The Regency at Ashburn is a camplike setting for grown-ups. The grass is lush, shrubs are bushy, young trees are full of leaves, and flowers are in bloom.
In two to three years, this Loudoun County community, built by Toll Brothers, will have 268 homes. There will be 111 carriage houses — attached in three-or-four-unit buildings — and 15 single-family houses.
